technically a bit later than planned; as the actual time was 8 minutes past 8pm on the eighth of the eighth (so yesterday)
but hey, its party time…
me studio is celebrating a milestone i never dreamed would happen: ten years
(tries to hi-five himself… fails) hoorah!
i am currently working on a nice commission to create a typographic floor piece for one of amsterdam’s best ‘hidden’ museums, more news soon…
last friday i attended the opening of the 26 creative charachters exhibition in utrecht, along with many of the other contributors (Studio Airport, Alex Trochut (US), Autobahn, Underware, Baster, Dietwee, Dog&Pony, Evelin Kasikov (UK), Gorilla, Hansje van Halem, Hoax Amsterdam, INCLUDED, Jaap Biemans, Jacques Koeweijden, Jeroen Disch, Joachim Baan, Jos Buivenga, Julie Katrine Andersen (DK), ME Studio, Max Kisman, Nick Liefhebber, Roosje Klap, Staynice, Thonik, FL@33 (UK) and Trapped in Suburbia)
it was good to see the complete set of letters, meet many old (& new) friends and of course, well done to my friends maarten & rob for reaching the landmark big 10, onwards and upwards to the next 10… and thanks for a great evening
…the camera generates power by converting some of the light falling on its sensor into electricity that is then used to take a snap… theoretically the self-powered device could take a picture every second, forever…
the first step towards a camera that is self-powered, and maybe a huge step towards many things that could work in a similar fashion… exciting stuff
