this is great: apparently michelangelo had a servant who (like most people at the time) was illiterate… so he wrote this shopping list for her (dated 1518) complete with a menu of small pictograms to help with getting the daily groceries…

long shadows
i am not usually tempted to partake in the ‘is iOS7 ugly?’ discussion, as i find it wholly uninteresting and irrelevant
however this proposal for a long shadow version does appeal to me, it indeed seems to make it more user-friendly and easy to decipher somehow… and yes perhaps a little ‘less ugly’
