when i first came across this work i not only instantly felll in love with it but was also convinced that it was by american street photographer ‘saul leiter’ who is currently the subject of a retrospective exhibition in amsterdam

in fact it is very much the same era and style as ‘leiter’ but a different town and a different person: namely ‘fred herzog’ see more of his beautiful oeuvre here
