the dutch post office have commissioned local designer ‘rené put’ to make a series of stamp to celebrate the invention of braille…
these aren’t the first stamps ever made using braille but possibly one of the more interesting ones: the typography is placed on the front and on the reverse, so that the reader can see which letters are being formed by the braille type, very nice indeed
rené put is quite an elusive figure as i couldn’t really find anything about him or his work online, except an under construction website, shame because his work is worth sharing from what i’ve seen so far…
